Campsite Rules


By making a booking and attending the premises, all users agree to be bound by these rules. All users are required to follow the directions of campsite staff. If you are contravening any of the campsite rules management may refuse admission or ask you to leave at any time. 


  • ONLY 1 TENT PERMITTED PER TENT PITCH due to fire regulations.
  • At least one person staying on your overnight booking must be aged 18 or over. At least one member of the party, aged 18 or over, must be present on site whilst any other group members are on site. Adults in a group are responsible for the behaviour of all the members of the group.
  • Groups of more than 2 pitches together or of more than 8 people (even if booked separately) should contact the campsite and inform the campsite of the purpose of their gathering prior to arrival. Depending on the size of the group and the purpose of the group attending the campsite, management reserves the right to cancel and refuse bookings. If a group has booked separately and turns out to be a group on arrival and they have not been in contact with the campsite about it in advance of their arrival, management reserves the right to ask them to leave and cancel their bookings without refund. No parties of any kind.
  • Only those registered to use the site for overnight accommodation may use the camping facilities and campsite area.  
  • Pitches are available from 3pm. You may arrive in the main campsite up till 7pm Sunday to Thursday and 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays (please contact us if you plan to arrive later than this)


Noise


  • Grandtully Campsite is a peaceful place, our guests enjoy it's tranquillity and and we like to keep it that way. No loud noise, no amplifiers or speakers. Acoustic guitar and singing is permitted at a low volume provided that it doesn't bother other guests.
  • Quiet Curfew On Site 10pm - Please be respectful of your fellow campers and local residents. This is a quiet campsite, not a party campsite - there should be no noise at all after 10pm or before 8am. Guests breaking this rule may have the remainder of their booking cancelled and be made to vacate the site.


Showers & Toilets (within the Campsite Building)


  • Our toilets and showers are private self contained units in a building which is provided for all genders.  There is a lobby area inside each section of the Campsite Building. For the comfort and peace of mind of all of users there is absolutely no nudity permitted in this shared lobby area. You must go into a cubicle and lock the door before removing any of your clothing. If you do not comply with this rule you will be asked to leave the site.
  • Please remember to remove your personal items from the Campsite Building every time you use it. Items left in the building will be cleared and binned during daily cleaning.
  • Do not flush anything other than toilet paper and human waste down our toilets. Sanitary bins, nappy bins and general waste bins have all been provided within the campsite building. Please use these for anything else (except sharps - for the safety of out staff who have to empty the bins please take your sharps home with you and dispose of safely).


Caravans/Trailers/Tent Trailers


  • The vehicle which towed the trailer or caravan must be available during the stay so that it can be moved in the event of an emergency. Caravans and trailers are not to be dropped off by the towing vehicle then left for the duration of the stay. 


Hazards and Risks 

  • Use of the campsite and car park is at the user’s risk. There are hazards which have not been marked. Users are warned to take particular care to keep away from steep slopes and the platform edge. 
  • Users are responsible for loss or damage to their own property at all times, and the SCA will not accept any liability for users’ property whatsoever. 


Use and payment 

  • All users must book and pay online  for their pitch.
  • If a user has not booked or paid the full amount, the Management may ask the person(s) to leave immediately. 
  • To make use of the members’ discount, the booker must have a valid SCA, BC, CW or CANI membership at the point of booking and the entirety of their stay and they must obtained the discount code from JustGo and enter it at the time of booking . Discount codes must be entered at the time of booking, they cannot be applied after payment.


Vehicles

  • The speed limit 5 mph and vehicles are not permitted on the grass 
  • Only campervans and towing vehicles for caravans are permitted to park beyond the wooden gate in the designated campervan and caravan area. There is no access beyond the gate for loading or unloading of tent pitches.


Safety 

  • Users are responsible for the safe condition and use of their own appliances - cookers, stoves, heaters etc. 
  • Bulk gas or other fuel storage is prohibited. 
  • Portable electricity generators are prohibited. 
  • Open fires are prohibited – no campfires or bonfires. 
  • BBQs and Fire Pits are allowed on legs, stands and raised non-flammable surfaces – they must not scorch the grass. 
  • Do not tamper with fire extinguishers or alarms – they are provided for emergency use only. 
  • All users should note the position of the Assembly Point, nearest Fire Point and read the Fire Action notice. 
  • Group Leaders are responsible for the whereabouts of their group, and for the group’s head-count in case an Assembly is called.

Pets 

  • Pets must be kept on a lead at all times and must not be left unattended.
  • Pets are permitted provided they do not cause nuisance.
  • Pet waste must be lifted and removed immediately. It should be placed in a general waste bin.
  • If a pet is causing a nuisance the owner may be asked to remove the pet from the site. The Campsite Management’s decision on any pet is final.


Waste and hygiene 

  • Pitches must be kept tidy and all refuse must be placed promptly in the recycling and rubbish containers provided at the campervan service point. Please make sure that you put the recycling and waste in the correct containers.
  • Caravan/Campervan Chemical toilet disposal - is located to the right hand side of the washing up area 
  • Campervan service point is available to those wishing to dispose of chemical and grey waste. Free of charge to those staying overnight, £8 to visitors.

Lost Property & Left Behind Items

  • Guests are responsible for the security of their own items. We accept no liability for items lost or left on the campsite.
  • Any small non valuable items such as shampoo bottles, tooth brushes, socks, underwear etc that are found in the toilets and showers will be immediately thrown away during the daily cleaning processes. 
  • Anything else that is found such clothing (non underwear), glasses, earbuds, phones, cables etc will be logged using the lost property form. 
  • Left items will be kept for 1 calendar month and if nobody claims the items by that point they will be binned or destroyed. 
  • Customers should email us on campsite@grandtully.scot with the date of stay and a description of the item and we will check our records.
  • If contact is made to retrieve a left behind item then the customer must arrange for collection of the item or send a postage label or self addressed paid envelope to post it.


Security 

  • Access codes must not be passed on to anyone. Every booking is supplied with the codes by email for use during their stay. We have a duty to know who is on site at any time. 
  • The gate must be kept closed and locked at all times. Do not leave the gate lock with the code showing.
  • CCTV is monitored and recorded. Details are in the CCTV Policy.


Conduct

  • The site management reserves the right to eject anyone who is behaving in a disruptive or dangerous way.
  • We will not hesitate to contact the police if anyone behaves in a threatening way towards our staff.
  • Ejection from the site may result in being banned from the site for a set period or indefinitely.
  • Group Leaders are responsible for the orderly behaviour of their group members. 
  • The SCA reserves the right at any time to remove anyone whose behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable by the Campsite Management. The Campsite Management will report any incident to the Chief Executive, who may refer the matter to the SCA Board of Directors for further action. 


Further regulations or guidance

  • The Campsite Management may add additional terms and conditions to booking at any point. This will be shared during the time of the online booking and subsequent confirmation emails.
  • The Campsite Management reserves the right to close the Campsite at any point and will inform anyone with bookings accordingly. If the campsite is closed then all users of the site must vacate it.
